July 12, 2000neXoft Software's freeware drum sampler LoopAZoid has gone to the next
stage. The VST 2.0 plugin features 64-voice sample playback, 48 channels,
3 mutegroups, 4 stereo outputs, as well as forward and reverse sample
playback on every channel. LoopAZoid's main strength is its easy handling.
Samples are chosen from a file selection box, so there is no need to edit
weird text configuration files. Patches and banks are stored as normal
VST plugin patches (*.fxp / *.fxb), and all samples and settings are saved
together with the song. The forward and reverse root notes are selected
from a piano roll, instead of assigning a MIDI note number.
New in version 1.1:
- import of AIFF files
- import and export of drumkits
This makes it possible to better organize patches, and allows sharing
and exchanging of drumkits. neXoft Software also announces that a free
Macintosh version of LoopAZoid will be available in the near future. For more information, visit their web sites at www.loopazoid.com and www.nexoft.com. |
