August 27, 2000Allen & Heath's much vaunted ML5000 console now has a 24-channel sidecar available.
ML5000 standard frame sizes are 32 mono + 4 stereo channels, 40+4 and 48+4. With the addition of up to two sidecars, the maximum number of
channels available can now be brought up to 100 using a 48+4 console.
Each sidecar is a compact stand-alone unit that is independently powered and connects to the main console using a 9-way logic and three 37-way
audio link cables. Units have been designed to seamlessly match the distinctive styling of the ML5000.
Featuring the same input and fader modules as the main console, the sidecar is set to enhance advancements, such as LCRplus and the flexible
