J.Everman Fuzz Drive's New Look and Features

October 24, 2000

In response to the comments, reviews and The New Improved Fuzz Drive suggestions from other musicians, J. Everman Custom Analog Effects has added several new features to their Fuzz Drive pedal. "Our goal is to respond to the needs of musicians with great gear and great tone they can't get anywhere else....." J.Everman. The Fuzz Drive will be taking on a brand new look, same great circuit, but with better components and more features such as:

  • Larger engraved face plate
  • True Bypass Switching using DPDT Carling switches
  • Heavy duty battery clip with thicker gauge wire
  • Power Jack (9VDC): 2.1mm barrel jack
  • Riveted battery holder
  • 1 Meg 1% pulldown resistors
  • High-grade low noise circuit board layout
  • 20 AWG solid core wire

The Fuzz Drive is unlike most fuzz/overdrive pedals in that it maintains the low end of your signal. No more harsh "mosquito" tones and your crunchy sound will remain intact when you crank up your amp. If your looking for a pedal will run the gamut between natural organic warmth, deep haunting blues tones and a huge ethereal fuzzy overdrive, look no further. The Fuzz Drive is built with flexibility in mind, six internal dip switches allow the user to adjust the bias parameters of the pedal. These switches interact with your guitars pickups and alter the gain structure of the pedal. By adjusting the tone in this manner, we have eliminated the need for any "tone killing" equalizing circuits.
