In the PlayMode users can automatically compose personal music programs and play lists. A music collection can be arranged according to artists, style, length or many other criteria. With the MP3 finder the user can find any available MP3 song on the Internet. Via the FTP download, sounds and songs can be downloaded from MP3 Internet sites straight to the play list and into the mix! Using the CDDB2TM, the user has direct access to the biggest online database of information on music CDs, about 400,000 entries (album, tracks, artists, length). Use old tracks from LP or tape in the playR deLuxe and convert them to the digital standard with versatile cleaning functions like denoising, declipping, normalizing and many more.
Mixing like a DJ? The RemixMode allows the user to create remixed versions of favorite songs with professional DJ functions like cross-fades, a multi-track mixer, BPM finder and more. Songs from a play list can be loaded automatically onto two turntables. On 2 x 8 buttons or tracks, effects, beats, and sounds for the mega mix can be operated via mouse, keyboard, or even a joystick. By clicking on the single buttons of the turntable the user can activate each sound and even independently control videos, animations, and 3D-effects in real-time. To mix a play list tracks the RemixMode offers many top functions. With the automatic BPM finder, the user can exactly find the BPM of the song being played. Tempo controls can be used to affect pitch-shifting, resampling and time-stretching. If two songs are played simultaneously, the cross-fade function can be used - manually or automatically! Via the audio FX page the user can tweak each sound with multiple effects like reverb, echo, distortion, real sweep filters, panorama, hi-end equalizer and DirectX interface. Additionally, vocals, announcements, or any other instrument can be added. A vast selection of 1,000 beats, loops, effects and video scenes are included on two CDs.
In the PlayMode as well as in the RemixMode, a video engine with two channels is available. Pure playing, mixing and editing of videos or animations is possible on full screen and can be controlled via the rhythm of the music. In the special video controller the user has a vast selection of 3D effects such as haze, reflection, mercury, and many more.
There are also several mix options - blue box, ghost effect, relief and many others. Plug in a camera and use the live input channel to add video effects to the mix.
