The PreSonus Blue Tube Stereo Microphone Preamplifier with Instrument Inputs
is now shipping. The Blue Tube was designed to be a companion to the popular PreSonus
Blue Max Stereo Smart Compressor.
The Blue Tube features two high performance microphone preamplifiers with the
Sovtek 12AX7 tube and dual servo gain stages (no capacitors). Front panel controls
consist of tube drive, gain, 48V phantom power, 20dB pad and polarity reversal.
Each channel of the Blue Tube features a Neutrik combo connector on the front
panel that accepts microphones or instrument direct inputs. A full offering of
output connectors include: XLR balanced and TRS unbalanced on both channels. The
output signal is available on both styles of connector simultaneously. Visual
monitoring is provided via two eight-segment LED meters on the front panel.
The Blue Tube front panel is produced using extruded, anodized aluminum with
milled edges. The chassis is designed to fit into the PreSonus Blue Max rack adapter
that currently accepts the Blue Max stereo compressor. MSRP $199.
