Digital Technology have announced the CompressorX digital compressor effect for
Soundscape R.Ed & SSHDR1-Plus digital audio workstations and the Mixtreme
PCI card.
Released in 1998 for the DirectX and Pulsar/SCOPE platforms, CompressorX is
a versatile compressor for audio recording and mixing, which emulates analogue
compressors.
Features include:
- Capable of 'desirable' breathing and pumping, formerly attainable only by
analog design
- Hard or Soft Knee compression
- Peak or RMS limiting
- Brick Wall limiting, zero stop, bypassable
- Real-time 'near-zero latency'
- Ultra-fast attack times available
- Auto-Release, user selectable
- Analogue-style meter
