Complete with new features, Studio9000, consisting of the Vibra9000, Gamma9000, Stella9000, Vibra6000 and Vibra 1000, is an innovative virtual 'synth rack.' In a short time, Koblo not only developed drivers for Cubase, Logic, Vision, and Digital Performer, but were also the first to integrate with Digidesign's new technology, 'Direct Connect,' making it possible for their synths to run with ProTools 5.0.

The development history of synths has moved from pure to virtual analogue, e.g. Clavia's Nord Lead and Access Music's Virus. The next step in the evolution chain will be the move of synths into the main CPU of the music workstations, exactly like it happened with the sequencers, tape recorders, and mixing consoles.

Developer and Project manager, Max Groenlund states, "Our products have so many advantages over the hardware solutions. Besides the outstanding sound quality, the integration with the environment is outstanding as well. We are making it possible for producers to simply turn on their computer, open up their project, and all routing, MIDI settings, and presets are recalled."

Some improvements include playback of 16, 24, and 32 bit samples, importing Sample Cell keymaps, AIFF and Sound Designer II sound files, and Gamma9000 now also has seperate output on the different drum tracks.

During the last few months, the Koblo organization has been totally restructured as well. "Koblo's business organization is growing rapidly to suport sales of a revolutionalry new product that is in strong demand. We have partnered with Digidesign as the worldwide distributor of our products and expect our support and marketing capabilities to grow very dramatically as a result. Koblo can then devote more time to working on our world-class synth products, like the Studio9000 version 2.5," adds marketing manager, Jeanette Scarborough.

The Studio9000 is available though Digidesign, as well as directly off of Koblo's website.
