With Wizoo Powered DX, Wizoo has released the latest installment of its "Powered" CD-ROMs, a remarkable series of samples.
With this CD-ROM, Wizoo sought to capture the trademark tones of the FM classics, DX7, DX7II, and TX816. FM sound designers, Hubertus Maass and Peter Gorges have hammered out a collection of 58 DX sounds, all programmed exclusively for this CD-ROM. Onboard are all genres for which DX synthesizers are famed: basses, electric pianos, percussive sounds, poly-synths, organ, metal, pads, leads, and brass, as well as a host of wild sound creations that are sure to surprise even DX connoisseurs.
All sounds were fine-tuned in the synth to deliver the best results in samplers, which has yielded stunning dynamics and maximum playability.
All sounds are accessible on the first partition of the CD-ROM in the form of phrase demos, which makes auditioning and trying out sounds a cinch: the time-consuming process of loading sounds into the sampler falls by the wayside.
Wizoo Powered DX works with all Akai S1000-compatible hardware and software, including the Akai S Series, Emagic EXS24, GEM WK Series, E-mu ESI, E Series and E-Synth, Korg Triton, Kurzweil K Series, Terratec EWS-64, Yamaha A Series, Roland S-760 and XV 5080, Bitheadz Unity, Creamware STS-4000, PowerSampler and Pulsar Sample Player, and Nemesys Gigasampler.
