Mackie Launches New Website: www.Mackietone.com July 16, 2000Ever want to know how to record a Grammy nominated album, or get advice on how to produce your music at home, from Alex Lifeson of Rush, or Rikki Rockett of Poison? Why not start a production and development company, to produce theme songs for major league baseball teams, or get into working with up-and-coming bands, at MP3.com or HollywoodMusic.com? How would you like to mix sound for million-dollar motion pictures, or get tips on how to mix sound for a successful television series? Mackie Designs has brought this information to the masses, through their new web page, www.Mackietone.com.
Mackietone.com features Mackie-user profiles, success stories, application articles, newsflashes, product information, a complete database of product reviews, and industry awards from the major music, recording, and sound magazines. The "Aux Sends" section features links to some of the most fun, bizarre, and intriguing music and sound-related web sites. The "Aux Returns" section features some of the great letters, funny pictures, interesting comments, and bizarre stuff people send Mackie, from all over the planet. And, the "Blessed Mixings" section features articles related to sound reinforcement for worship services.
Mackie's trade show schedule is posted for the entire year, so you know when and where to meet up with them, to press buttons, turn knobs, tweak dials, listen to loudspeakers, record your voice on the new HDR24/96 hard disc recorder in the "Be A Rockstar" recording booth, and essentially kick the tires on a lot of Mackie stuff.
Mackietone.com has also become an important source of information, for the mainstream entertainment media. VH1.com reported on Mackietone.com's article about Alex Lifeson's use of his D8B, where Alex exclusively announced that, after a three year hiatus, Rush would be heading back into the studio in October 2000, to record the band's 17th studio album. Alex's Mackietone.com article and comments became the hot topic on numerous rock radio stations across America and Canada, once the story was picked-up and reported by VH1.com.
