September 12, 2000Studiomaster has introduced the new Powerpack 400 USA Series, 8 channel -- stereo powered mixers, featuring two models: the P400 and the P400DSP. Power is supplied by twin 200 watt per side internal Studiomaster power amps (400 watts total), featuring variable speed fan cooling, crowbar speaker protection, thermal overload protection and more. The 400 & 400 DSP mixer section consists of 8 input channels – (6 mono mic/line and 2 _" stereo). Mono channels boast: Input gain attenuation, 48v phantom power, 3 band EQ with mid sweep, 2 auxiliary sends, channel LED clip indicators and 60 mm faders. The 2 stereo channels feature a custom tailored 2 band EQ, specifically designed to enhance music playback and electronic instruments. Separate mixer and power amp controls and metering, allow for precise control of all audio signals. The 400 DSP version comes standard with a 79 program, onboard 32 bit digital processor. Optimum flexibility is assured with the inclusion of 4 user memories. The Powerpack 400 and 400DSP are both internally modular and feature all steel construction. The rackmount kit is also included at no charge.
