collection of SMF recordings dedicated to bass, electric bass
guitar,
upright bass, bass synth, piano, and tuba parts, all played on
alternate
MIDI controllers by some of the world's premier bassists.
As with all volumes in the Twiddly.Bits series, Bottoms Up calls
upon the
talents of some top names in the bass field: Tiran Porter (Doobie
Brothers), Paul Jones (Whitney Houston), Latin specialist Phil Retamoza (Orquesta Gitano), Dennis Murphy (Acoustic Alchemy),
Julian
Crampton (George Benson), Jon Savannah (Van Morrison), Dale Davies
(Tina Turner), Dale Ockerman (Zigaboo Modeliste), and others.
Featuring some 700 grooves in total, the stylistic categories
include
Rock
(Classic, Prog, Soft, Alternative, Modern), R&B, Hip Hop, Reggae,
Latin,
Jazz, Funk, Country, and Disco, plus special
categories for Turnarounds, Bits & Pieces (slides and trills), and
Classic Lines.
Each file contains at least one Guide Drum Track, plus an
accompaniment
track for quick reference.
All items are in Standard MIDI File format, available for PC or
Mac,
and
