Dynaudio Acoustics and TC Electronic proudly announce the AIR Series - a
brand new range of intelligent monitors, that provides the technology of
the future already today. Utilising DSP, networking intelligence and
digital amplifiers, the AIR series defines a new level for performance and
operation convenience in the speaker world. Central remote control, preset
storage and recall, extreme alignment flexibility, and ultimate precision
are among the numerous advantages offered by the AIR series.
The built-in DSP enables compensation for traditional speaker
inefficiencies and offers tools to adjust speakers for optimal performance
in different acoustic environments. All audio and control information is
distributed in an internal network in-between speakers, which allows for
powerful internal 5.1 (and stereo, of course) features and convenience such
as bass management simulations on the fly, central control of levels,
recall of different set-ups, solo / mute of individual speakers etc.
Business Manager, Carsten Lebeck, explains: "In the wake of 5.1 getting
established, production facilities are facing a whole range of new problems
monitoring audio. Alignment in-between speakers is more important than
ever. Adaptation to acoustic environments and placement issues are also
becoming even more critical. Add to this the number of different standards
and formats for bass management, levels etc., and it is obvious that the
ultimate 5.1 monitor solution calls for new thinking in speaker-technology

Developed in cooperation between Dynaudio Acoustics and TC Electronic, The
AIR Series is made for demanding audio professionals in applications such
as Post, Broadcast, Film, Mastering and Recording studios. Expecting to
ship in Q4 2001, the first AIR series products include AIR6, a bi-amplified
two-way near-field monitor (6.5" woofer and 1.1" soft dome) and AIR15 , a
bi-amplified two-way near-field monitor (9" woofer and 1.1" soft dome).
Three different dedicated AIR subwoofers ensure .1 performance in different
applications while a dedicated remote secures central control and
convenience. An advanced SW package will offer advanced EQ and DELAY tools
