Auralux Debuts with KingTrem and ClearGain Pedals February 23, 2001 Newcomer Auralux has announced two new effects pedals: the KingTrem and ClearGain.
The KingTrem is a tremolo pedal that recreates the sound and vibe
of the late 50's/early 60's Fender amps "brown" or "harmonic vibrato" tremolo
sound, in an analog solid-state pedal. It actually contains two completely independent and adjustable speed ranges which can be selected via the slow/fast footswitch. Other features include LEDs which flash at the selected rate when activated, and two outputs.
The ClearGain is a transparent lead boost pedal that provides up to
20db of signal gain, cleaning up
when the guitar volume control is rolled back. The unit is well suited for
applications calling for bluesy lead tones when used with a Fender style tube amp, or
provides for natural, crunchy tube saturation and hold-over sustain when used
with hi-gain amps. The pedal can be powered by a 9-volt battery, or optional power cord.
Auralux pedals are hand built one-at-a-time in Chicago, housed in low profile die-cast aluminum housings, and feature true-bypass circuitry.
The KingTrem lists for $299, and the ClearGain lists at $189. For more information, visit their web site at www.auraluxamps.com. |
