Crate Amplifiers announces the introduction of two new bass combos into the BX product line: the BX25DLX , which offers 25 watts RMS and a 10" speaker, and the BX50DLX, which features 50 watts RMS and a 12" speaker. Both amps are loaded with many new features required by today’s bass player.
The BX25DLX and the BX50DLX come equipped with a top-mounted chromatic tuner that’s always on and easily visible. A separate distortion channel, with Gain, Shape and Level controls, eliminates the need to purchase a distortion pedal. Clean, Distorted or Combined channel operation offers a wide range of tonal possibilities. The built-in Sub/Octave divider with Level control allows the user to blend the Octave effects.
Both the 25DLX and the 50DLX feature the patented "FlexWave" circuit design. FlexWave replicates the tone and feel of a tube amp using solid-state components. Other features include an RCA CD input that allows the user to play along with an external source and a headphone jack, which mutes the internal speaker. The Crate CFP2 footswitch included with the BX50DLX, and optional with the BX25DLX, allows for easy channel and octave switching.
Now shipping, the BX25DLX and the BX50DLX have a list price of $349.99 and $409.99 respectively.
