RTOM Introduces Moongel Snare Pad with Suction Cup
 July 19, 2001This Pad is an industry first, it has a suction cup molded into the base, and will stick to any smooth surface, thus overcoming any creep or bounce when playing the pad. This has long been a problem with small light weight practice pads.
The Moongel Snare Pad material is 50% softer than conventional Gum rubber pads, which can introduce shock to the hands and wrists. Long term this can cause repetitive stress disorders, the Snare Pad virtually eliminates this problem. Typically a 50% softer pad would not produce the rebound of a snare drum, but RTOM’s unique Moongel material still maintains the rebound and flexural response of a snare drum, no gum rubber material can offer this performance characteristic.
