CFox Nylon Now Braced for Traditional Nylon Strings
January 2, 2001 CFox Guitars has now optimized its Concert
nylon string guitar for not only Thomastik-Infeld Rope Core strings, but
traditional nylon strings as well. The resulting rich classical voice
serves an increasing number of electric and acoustic steel string players
who now can enjoy the warmer sounds and lighter touch of nylon strings
without sacrificing their hard-won playing technique to the wide neck and
high action of traditional nylon string guitars.
Jean-Pierre Durand of the world music ensamble Incendio says, "the CFox
Concert Nylon is the most seductive and rewarding instrument I've ever
played."
The Concert nylon string comes standard with a 1 3/4 inch
graphite-reinforced neck, compound radius fretboard and extra-low action for
effortless playability. It is available in optional neck widths for
different playing styles and it features a solid Sitka spruce soundboard,
East Indian rosewood back and sides, and ebony fretboard, bridge and
headplate. The Sonoma series Concert nylon string guitar pictured here is
shown with the optional cutaway, extended fingerboard, and B-Band Core 99
pickup system. CFox nylon string models are available beginning at a
suggested retail of $2900.. For more information, visit their web site at www.cfoxguitars.com. |
