Computer Music to Release Second Free VST Instrument

Computer Music magazine's second free VST instrument becomes available on
friday 26th October 2001 on the cover of Computer Music magazine issue 40,
available at newsstands and online from
www.computermusic.co.uk.
SR-202 is a 16 pad VST2.0 drum machine combining sample playback facilities
with advanced analogue synthesis styled sound shaping and is available for
both MAC and PC.
Features:
- Loads up to 16 WAV or AIFF format samples (on Mac & PC), one for each pad, directly from the front panel.
- Can export a file of its complete state to disk via the VST bank load/save mechanism. Files will be exchangeable between both PC and Mac versions, and contain all the samples needed.
- 64 voice channels with dynamic assignment.
- A particular pad can be assigned to one of four choke groups. Pads assigned to choke groups are monophonic.
- Pads are assignable to either the stereo output or one of the four mono outputs.
- Three attack/decay envelopes for filter, amplifier and pitch on each pad.
- Low pass/High pass switchable filter.
- Two effects pre-filter - Distortion and BitCrusher.
- Switch to set each voice to respond to Note off messages.
