New Sovereign Head and Victorilux Combo from Victoria August 16, 2001
Victoria Amplifier Company has announced the release of two new
products: the Sovereign and Victorilux amplifiers, both amplifiers were
featured at the summer NAMM show.
The Sovereign, a 2xEL34 head, with a global gain control and reverb.
When the gain control is turned down, the amplifier delivers classic Fendery
clean tones gradually turning more aggressive and driven when the volume is
increased. With the volume wide open, the Sovereign bites and roars like a 50 watt Plexi. As the global gain control is increased, the
Sovereign's all new circuitry takes the guitar signal from an EF-86 input
pentode and provides a spectrum of tones. "From Vox swirl and chime to Marshall crunch
and attack to pure Fender depth and balance, The new Victoria Sovereign
model will redefine how super-high end guitar amplifiers are judged," according to the company.

The long awaited Victorilux is a 3x10 combo amp featuring reverb and
tremelo. The all new circuitry, designed by resident amp savant Les Plopa,
is elegant and truthful in its simplicity. A choice of 4xEL-84 or 2x6L6
models are available, providing a British or traditional American voicing to
the amplifier. Clean tones are warm and revealing, 3 dimensional in their
presentation. The Victorilux is designed for professionals who need an amplifier that can go from
playing sheds to honky-tonks.
