Funkyseagull.com has released three new CD ROM video music workshops: Bass Basics, Basic Mandolin, and Old Time Jam Session.
Bass Basics with Chris Walls is a two-hour introduction to playing upright bass. The video thoroughly covers the basics of the instrument along with set up tips and advice about how to approach your first jam session.
Basic Mandolin with Ken Gehret is a comprehensive mandolin workshop that guides you from picking up the instrument for the first time to complex back up and solo techniques. This is a unique mandolin video in that it is not style-specific. The viewer can apply the techniques presented in folk, bluegrass, country or any kind of music they wish.
Old Time Jam Session with Hobo Pie is a video jam session. Funkyseagull.com teamed up with Pennsylvania based old time band Hobo Pie to create a video that will help beginners on any instrument learn how to join in a jam session. The video features the band playing over twenty old time tunes with lot of encouragement to join in and play along.
