Reverend Musical Instruments has introduced the Gloss-Tone series of guitars
and basses which feature new finishes and component upgrades. Prices start
at $679 factory direct.
The new colors are Aged Yellow, Hunter Green, Fireball Red and Jet Black.
These finishes are comprised of a polished phenolic top and back combined
with white pickguards for a classic retro look. The bodies utilize
Reverend's patented semi-hollow construction.
Guitar updates include locking Sperzel tuners as standard, and the Revsby
tremolo option ($125). The Revsby is a horsehoe style tailpiece with a
precision ABM roller bridge and modifed arm assembly that eliminates
freeplay. The result is greatly increased sustain, pitch control and tuning
stability compared to the original units.
"The Gloss-Tones represent a great value in a USA made instrument,
delivering pro level hardware, playability and tone for under $700. And with
the current rise of the Garage Rock movement, timing couldn't be better for
a high performance vintage style instrument," states Reverend founder Joe
Naylor.
