SonicEmulations Launches Sonic Stop Web Site and Loop Libraries

February 4, 2002

SonicEmulations, Inc announced the world-wide launch of Sonic Stop.com.

"We are proud to introduce Sonic Stop.com, a web destination offering a new line of sample CD loop libraries backed by a world-class artist team." Scott Shapiro, President said. "Our Sonic Singles loop libraries are designed to address the increasingly critical role of samples in modern music making."

Sonic Singles take a unique approach to sample loops by providing a more focused and consistent way to use the material in todays production environment. Each Sonic Single zeroes in on a particular genre (such as Rock, Dance, Rap, etc.) and typically features only one instrument type. The result is a library with versatility and the ability to let the user buy only the material they want.

Sonic Singles employ a logical and powerful file-naming technology to help make using the loops easy and inspiring. Sonic Singles also include valuable electronic documentation that exceeds current offerings by other sample providers.

Sonic Stop leverages a world-class team of seasoned artists and industry veterans. Artists such as music remixer Doug Beck (Pink, Boyz to Men, Britney Spears), drummer Mark Walker (Paquito D'Rivera) and bassist David Finck (Dizzy Gillespie, Aretha Franklin) are just a few of the talented individuals involved with Sonic Singles.

The first four Sonic Singles are:

Drum Necessities #BDY01, featuring New York City session drummer Brian Delaney is one of the first acoustic drum releases to demonstrate the power and precision of Sonic Single loop libraries. Clearly present is the punchy, "ultra-live" acoustic sound that will come to characterize many of the libraries available at Sonic Stop. In a virtual sea of new "me-too" acoustic loop CD's, this is the real McCoy. Drum Necessities provides healthy coverage of tempos (65-95 bpm), and an undeniably powerful sound that simply makes it a "must have" tool for music.

Chameleon Drums #MWR01, featuring jazz and latin drummer Mark Walker provides proof of the universal quality of music. Chameleon Drums is a rock/pop/dance/hip-hop acoustic drum library fused with a hint of Mark's latin sound that will startle and amaze you again and again. Wonderfully elegant rhythms in tempos ranging 65-140bpm are combined with breathtaking execution to produce an acoustic drum library that is definitely without equal in the world of loops today. This drum library serves as an excellent foundation to almost any style of music, hence the title.

Atomic Beats- Dance Drums #PLP01 is pure Sonic Stop energy for todays dance scene. Peace/Love Productions puts in all the key ingredients to the genre that lives as floor-pounding rhythms, high-energy melodies and ultra-modern synth effects. With drum loops ranging 120-140bpm and a hint of techno flavor, this library is sure to please the dance crowd.

Table Manners- Scratches #PLP02 is a unique collection of loops entirely made up of professional DJ cuts and Fx. Peace/Love Productions does it again, putting all the DJ essentials into a raw, beat topping seasoning of scratches, and vocal hits for modern rap/hip-hop and even todays modern rock! The majority of this library is full rhythmic loops (80-140bpm) and "one-shots" making it a powerful tool for groove construction.

Sonic Singles are being offered in Mac and PC formats for todays powerful music creation tools. Sample formats provided include: Acidized Wave, Rex 2 and AIFF. More are expected in the coming months.

Sonic Singles carry an MSRP of $34.95 and can be purchased separately or in a bundle for a discount of up to 20% off.
