Death By Audio Introduces Unique Effects Pedal

July 12, 2002

Oliver Ackermann, founder of Death By Audio, has created Total Sonic Annihilation, an experimental effects pedal that is unlike any other that has been produced in the past.

Total Sonic Annihilation (TSA) is an effects loop pedal that utilizes your current effects pedals to morph the sounds and also create sounds with the pedals alone. It controllably feeds the input from the effects loop back into itself. This can have many effects on the sound depending on what effects pedals are used with TSA. For example octavers can multiply to be many octaves, reverb can create huge crashes and crescendos, fuzz pedals can make rhythmic drum patterns and siren sounds, and an infinite of other sounds.

Oliver Ackermann has been experimenting with sounds and effect pedals since 1995 and has modified many amplifiers, effects, and instruments to meet the needs of his personal taste in sounds. Oliver has hand crafted TSA with high quality components and true bypass with LED.

Total Sonic Annihilation is available now from the Death By Audio website for $150, postage paid in the US.
