Zildjian Introduces ZXT Bronze Cymbal RangeNew lineup includes Chinas and "Trashformer"

The Avedis Zildjian Company has announced the introduction of the all-new ZXT Superior Sheet Bronze cymbal range. ZXT is available immediately.
The ZXT Superior Sheet Bronze cymbal range makes use of new hammering and lathing techniques that give these cymbals a bright and powerful sound with warm musical overtones. The Ride cymbals have a clear ping sound and great projection. The Crashes are available in a variety of sizes and weights. The selection of new ZXT HiHats have a defined chick and posses a full wash.
In addition, this cymbal line includes a variety of china cymbals as well as the "Trashformer", a new and very unique purplish-blue colored effects cymbal developed with the assistance of Zildjian Artist and drummer Mike Mangini. Used in combination with other cymbals, the Trashformer will "transform" the sound of any cymbal into a unique and trashy special effect.
"Developed in the Zildjian Sound Lab, ZXT cymbals areas equally pleasing to the ear, as they are to the eye," said Paul Francis, Zildjian's Research and Development Project Specialist. "A variety of different hammering techniques were developed to maximize the musical properties of each of the models in the range. The radical visual appearance of this new hammering is complimented by the sleek ZXT logo, all combining to make ZXT one of the most exciting looking of all the Zildjian ranges. But most of all, these are the best Sheet cymbals I have ever heard. I only wish these cymbals were available when I was getting started as a drummer."
Zildjian is also offering four different ZXT Superior Sheet Bronze Box Sets that not only give drummers the sound they want, but also include a variety of additional free Zildjian merchandise. Included in the ZXTPro4PC and the ZXTRock4PC sets are a Travis Barker poster, a Zildjian cymbal bag, Zildjian stickers, a copy of ZTime Magazine and a pair of drumsticks. The Pro4PC set offers 14" Solid HiHats, a 16" Medium Thin Crash, a 20" Medium Ride and a set of Travis Barker signature drumsticks. The ZXTRock4PC set includes 14" Rock HiHats, a 16" Rock Crash, a 20" Rock Ride and a pair of John Otto signature drumsticks. The Expand Box Set includes 18" Medium Thin Crash and an 18" China. The ZXT Effects Box Set includes an 10" Splash and an 18" China.
