In December 2002, a new Belgian-made analog modular synthesizer - the µVentury II - is being released. It is designed by Fabrice du Busquiel (architect of many analog modules used by a number of well-known Belgian DJ's) and released in cooperation with Blue Bay (dealer/distributor of analog modular synthesizers), founded by Stefan Leunis.
The synthesizer is CV/Gate controlled, standard 1V/Octave, and consists of :
- 2 voltage controlled oscillators from 0,01Hz to 50Khz,
- 12dB roll-off state variable voltage controlled filter with lo-pass, hi-pass, band-pass and notch outputs,
- 2 independent ring modulators (one DC ringmod which also serves as a voltage controlled amplifier and one AC ringmod),
- An extremely rare voltage controlled Wave multiplier,
- An ADSR envelope generator,
- A VU meter hardwired to the lo-pass filter output,
It works on both 110 and 230V and comes in a solid portable briefcase (32cm x 16cm x 24cm). A 19 inch rack frame will be available early next year, along with a number of extra modules.
