Carillon's AC-1/HD is First Windows System with Pro Tools HD Qualification
July 14, 2003
Carillon have developed the first Windows based PC system designed for audio to be officially qualified for Pro Tools HD. For the first time studios can purchase completely qualified and integrated Windows Pro Tools HD solutions from a single specialised audio company.
Carillon have worked very closely with Digidesign over the last few months to optimize the component selection and performance, resulting in a custom spec designed from the ground up for the particular demands of Pro Tools HD that stands apart from the rest of the Carillon range. The model, called the AC-1/HD, features Intel motherboards and processors, and is capable of up to 128 tracks of audio and full Pro Tools functionality. CPU speed, RAM amount and drive sizes can be chosen from a range when ordering to achieve the desired performance level.
The AC-1/HD is available as a bare machine (HD Core) if you are already a Pro Tools HD owner, or a complete rig can be configured and installed for you prior to delivery.
Prices from $2099 for a qualified Intel Pentium 4 based AC-1/HD
