RainSong Graphite Guitars has announced the JM3000, a 12-string jumbo acoustic-electric the latest addition to the all-graphite series of guitars.
Typical of the All Graphite Series instruments, the JM1000 features an all-graphite/composite construction. The soundboard, body, neck, fingerboard and bridge are all crafted using graphite/composite materials. RainSong's Projection Tuned Layering process eliminates the need for bracing, resulting in a brace-free and light-weight soundboard that is free to resonate.
RainSong takes advantage of the strength and stability of the graphite neck to set its 12-string action low and design its neck to be thin, comfortable and easy to play without fear of structural failure due to the increased string tension. The JM3000 comes with light-gauge strings strung to concert pitch.
The JM3000 combines the large sized sound chamber with the light-weight graphite construction to deliver an extra-loud and deep tone that counterbalances the extra treble strings. The all-graphite construction of the JM3000 makes it the only 12-string acoustic that is able to stay in tune and to withstand temperature and humidity variations.
The JM3000 comes equipped with the RainSong Element On-Board System by L.R. Baggs. Suggested Retail Price: $3,195 (hard shell case included).
