August 22, 2003Dean Guitars unveiled the Sweetwood series of guitars, featuring all solid wood
construction with Sitka Spruce tops and Mahogany or Rosewood backs and
sides.
The Sweetwood line is
comprised of 2 dreadnought models (SWDM - Mahogany and SWDR - Rosewood), a Jumbo Cutaway (SWDM) with
Rosewood back and sides, and a 12-fret Parlor guitar with an aged top,
Rosewood back and sides, and a slotted headstock. Prices start at $769 for the Mahogany dreadnought.
All Sweetwoods feature
vintage style open tuners with butter bean buttons. A custom fitted,
brown, archtop hardshell case is included in the price of the guitar.
