PRESS RELEASE

Everly Introduces New Strings for Drop Tuning

September 24, 2003

Everly Music Company has announced their X Rockers, for "X-tra Lo Tuning;" A line of guitar strings created for today's aggressive guitarists who play in alternative tunings.

Anyone who plays in drop-tuning knows that heavier gauged strings are a must for maximum tone. The creators of X-Rockers had several tasks in mind. First, each string is designed to tune down evenly and not just the E string. Second, each set is specifically designed for a particular tuning. String gauge 11-15-20 plain-36 48-56 is recommended for D tuning and 12-16-22 plain-38-52-60 is recommended for the C# tuning.

Lastly, the X-Rockers do not require players or guitar techs to modify the guitar to install them. This was intended for players who like to play different styles, different techniques without sacrificing their guitar for the sake of larger strings. Jason Everly exclaims, "Anything larger than a .060 for the bottom E string would simply need too much modification. That's the beautiful part about X-Rockers; you don't have to mess-up your favorite guitar!"

X-Rockers are available in select retailers nationwide for $10.95 retail.
