AuviTran Goes Bi-Directional with EtherSound Products September 19, 2004
Five months after launching the AVY16-ES EtherSound compatible Yamaha mini-YGDAI interface card range, AuviTran has announced bi-directional EtherSound upgrade for its products.
The AVY16-ESv2 offers a full bi-directional transmission of up to 128 channels of Audio (64 channel of audio in each direction) over a single Cat5 100TX cable/link. To cater to most of Yamaha's YGDAI capable equipment, the AVY16-ESv2 cards with 16 channels In/Out, offer full network and local control of all channel assignments, constant network status monitoring and ultimate low propagation delay. Up to 4 AVY16-ESv2 cards can be used in selected Yamaha mixing consoles, providing the maximum of 64 channels in and 64 channels out. The general purpose serial port allows connection and control of the mixer's parameters or other 3rd-party external equipment, making the AVY16-ES cards suitable for any kind of live professional audio applications.
AuviTran is also offering a new range of EtherSound-based OEM AVD-ESv2 cards. The expanding EtherSound product range provide up to 64 digital audio inputs and outputs, with bi-directional digital audio distribution over standard 100TX Ethernet, and low propagation delay. AVD-ES cards include full network or local remote control management of channel assignment. The cards can also be customised for a specific type of interfaces. In addition, AuviTran offers associated software services for clients wishing to develop their own EtherSound products.
Existing AVY16-ES and AVD-ES boards can be upgraded for bi-directional operation.
AVY16-ESv2 and AVD-ESv2 cards are available in France from AuviTran directly, or from its European distribution network.
