LedendaryTones' Time Machine Boost Pedal Updated

March 8, 2004

A new 2004 model of the Time Machine Boost has been announced, offering a lower price with both battery and AC adapter functionality.

The Time Machine Boost is a dual-channel, tri-mode boost pedal designed to deliver both vintage style treble boosts as well as a modern, transparent clean boost to maximize the tone of a player's existing guitar and amplifier. Optimized to work with tube amplifiers set on the verge of power tube distortion or already in full saturation, the Time Machine Boost can enable a player to capture greater gain and dynamics from their amplifier that they could otherwise not achieve. Its two footswitchable channels with independent volume levels provide further dynamics, tone shaping, and versatility and provide convenient switching between desired rhythm and lead boosting tones.

As with the Original Time Machine Boost, the 2004 model Time Machine is built completely by hand, one at a time. To help reduce costs for customers, the labor build time of the 2004 Time Machine Boost has been reduced to three hours due to the incorporation of a new circuit-board design rather than the original unit's point-to-point construction. The 2004 model otherwise features the same component count and construction with no mechanical parts being directly mounted to the board. The end result is a product that could be made more efficiently and offered at a lower cost. In addition, due to the addition of the circuit board, the 2004 model Time Machine Boost now has space to fit a battery, in addition to the option of using a 9v DC power supply.
