Disc Makers Launches Mac Compatibility Across Complete Line Of Automated DVD/CD Duplicators
June 23, 2006
Disc Makers has announced that its complete line of automated duplication systems will now ship with software that allows them to work with both Mac computers and PCs. As of today, Disc Makers' popular Elite2, Elite4, Elite Micro, and Pico systems will all be Mac-compatible. The included easy-to-use Charismac Discribe software will run on Mac G5 towers with the OSX 10.4.3 operating system or greater, and let users create their master disc content, design the on-disc printing surface, and duplicate as many discs as they need.
The Mac version of the Pico, Disc Makers' 25-disc unit, will enter the market as the lowest priced automated DVD/CD duplicator for Mac users - just $699 - making it the ultimate entry-level system for the small studio, artist, or creative professional. And Disc Makers' Elite4 system is the only Mac-compatible four-drive DVD and CD duplication and printing system on the market.
"The Mac market is traditionally underserved by industry," says Tony van Veen, Disc Makers Executive Vice President, Sales & Marketing. "Yet, so much creativity is unleashed on a Mac that, being a Mac user myself, I made it our mission to make Mac compatibility a mainstay of our automated duplicator line. We've been offering our popular two-drive Elite2 as a Mac option for years, and are really proud to introduce Mac functionality across our whole automated duplicator line."
