Eden Electronics proudly announces the release of their new D-810RP4 speaker cabinet. Developed for, and in conjunction with, legendary bassist Rocco Prestia, the new cabinet is significantly different than Eden's D-810XLT, and is designed and constructed to meet Rocco's very demanding musical requirements.
Eden designed, engineered and built special drivers for the D810RP to stand
up to the onslaught of Prestia's extremely aggressive playing style and give
him his signature tone. The cabinet uses Eden's own aluminum bullet tweeter
- long known as the best in the market - but utilizes a new crossover with a 2.5KHz crossover point and 12dB slope.
Other specifications include: - Power handling of 1200 Watts RMS at 4 Ohms
- Frequency response of 42Hz-14KHz
- 106dB sensitivity (@ 1Watt, 1 Meter)
- AA void-free plywood construction and massive internal bracing
- New, rear-ported design
- Back wheels and corner mount handles for tilt-back mobility
- Eden's signature metal grill and locking corners
"We're very excited to be working with Rocco," said David Nordschow, Eden's
founder and head of Research and Engineering. "He's not only one of the
greatest legends in the history of the bass, he has a style that's one of the
most demanding in the industry. Creating products that meet his needs is a true
engineering challenge, one that we've really enjoyed meeting."
Nordschow and his team of engineers are currently working on a companion
amplifier for the cabinet, and plan to release it later in 2006. The D-810RP4
will begin shipping to stores in February.
