Last year, when HK AUDIO introduced DDO™ technology in the new ACTOR DX active system, experts were amazed at the natural sound quality. With Digital Dynamics Optimisation, speakers no longer sounded like speakers but like the original source, with a dramatic improvement in transparency and fullness - and at all volume levels. The patent-applied-for DDO™ technology is powered by an extremely potent 56-bit signal processor engineered to effectively compensate for errors in speaker response in real time. Furthermore, it automatically adjusts output, modifying frequency response to adapt to the way the human ear hears differently at different volume levels.
With L.U.C.A.S Impact, this revolutionary technology sets new sonic standards for compact active systems. Yet the system remains true to the original L.U.C.A.S philosophy of easy transport and simple operation. L.U.C.A.S Impact owes its low system weight of only 47 kg to the use of speakers with neodymium magnets and weight-saving digital power amps. These give the 15" subwoofer 700 watts of power, and supply both satellites (8" woofer and 1" CD horn) with 250 watts each - plenty of power for a solo entertainer or combo never to have to worry about running out of steam, even when playing larger venues.
Like all models in the L.U.C.A.S line, the subwoofer is factory-equipped with 4 sturdy casters and ergonomic handles. Available options include rugged HK AUDIO transport covers and the practical speaker-stand add-on kit with Speakon® cables and handy nylon carry bag.
