HK Audio Introduces The L.U.C.A.S. Performer Live Sound System

The new L.U.C.A.S PERFORMER represents a further refinement of HK AUDIO's extremely successful L.U.C.A.S line of active sound-reinforcement systems aimed at solo entertainers and combos. This new model is even more compact, lighter, and more powerful than its predecessor. Total system weight has been reduced from 60 to 44 kg thanks to the use of digital power amps and neodymium loudspeakers in both the subwoofer and the satellites. With 16 kg less to lug around, the entertainer can put his full energies into his performance.
The lean new components not only reduce the system weight, they also give it more muscle, agility and definition. The extended headroom, fast signal processing and excellent pulse response work together to produce a precise yet powerful soundscape that remains full and rich whether the system is operating at minimal levels or is being pushed to the limit. And even if the party hits its peak, L.U.C.A.S PERFORMER keeps its cool. HK AUDIO's DynaClip™ Limiter for the subwoofer and opto-limiters for the mid/high range satellites keep the system from being overdriven and ensure the utmost sound experience at all times, even at peak volume.
L.U.C.A.S PERFORMER sports a 500-watt power amp for the subwoofer with a 15" loudspeaker. Each satellite is powered by a separate 250-watt amp that feeds both an 8" woofer as well as a 1" CD horn (60° x 40°). The satellites feature HK AUDIO's MonoTilt™ stand-mount cup which helps angle the speakers directly toward the audience for maximum energy efficiency and elimination of unwanted reflections. Several optional accessories are available, such as a rugged set of protective covers, and a Speaker-Stand Add-On Kit including two aluminium speaker stands, two 7-metre Speakon® cables and a nylon carry bag.
