Sonic Studio, LLC today announced the release of version 2.2 of SonicStudio•DDP. The
new version adds the ability to create Red Book-formatted CD-Rs that carry CD Text metadata.
SonicStudio•DDP, the only complete DDP application for Mac OS X, is the premier entrant in a
series of focused products designed specifically for savvy audio professionals. Version 2.2
combines DDP playback and validation capabilities exclusive to SonicStudio•DDP with additional
features requested by hard core practitioners such as JVC Victor, Airshow Mastering and
Toshiba EMI. SonicStudio•DDP delivers a cost-reduced, streamlined workflow today as part of
an ever expanding line of scaled production components.
The new edition improves the auto-spacing capability for rapid assembly of
finished masters while auto-fill of P-Q metadata reduces the drudgery of manual entry. To
hasten the common task of re-sequencing, version 2.2 has a re-engineered re-sequencing
mode while mark handling has also been refined for better efficiency.
