SoundEngine.com announces the availability of an incredible collection of
musical performances and ambiences locations that include India, Burma,
Nepal, Tibet, and Vietnam. It's a DVD-ROM entitled "Sounds from the Streets
of Asia".
This DVD-ROM contains a collection of sounds that have been painstakingly
recorded on an extensive tour of Asia to fantastic destinations such as
India, Nepal, Vietnam, and Burma. Monk chants, street drumming circles,
background ambience, temple meditations, and even wedding celebrations are
included on this disk.
These sounds can be used on your computer or on a sampler that loads WAV
formatted sounds. All sounds are presented in 16 bit, 44.1 KHz WAV format.
These sounds are presented as they were recorded, with only light de-noising
and basic removal of very low-end frequencies has been done. Except where
noted, no effort has been made to provide looped performances.
