If you've been following Taylor Guitars' monthly online installments of the "Factory Friday" video series, then you'll appreciate the payoff in this month's segment. In "Final Assembly" you'll see members of Taylor's skilled production crew turning all those perfectly machined necks and bodies into beautiful, ultimately-playable guitars.
It's "hands-on" work in the Final Assembly department, and every process is covered in this video - from the strategic placement of an Expression System pickup, to setting the angle of Taylor's revolutionary NT neck, to the careful detailing and cleanup of the entire guitar -in short, everything that prepares a Taylor guitar for Final Inspection.
At the end of the video, you'll follow a brand new Taylor into the Final Inspection station, where it is thoroughly checked (and played) by one of Taylor's QC managers, before going on to the Shipping department, and out into the world.
If you've missed any of the fifteen Factory Friday videos, you can still see them all at Taylorguitars.com. Look for the "See/Hear" link on the homepage, then click on the episode you want to view, and enjoy! For more information, visit their web site at www.taylorguitars.com.
