XO Audio Announces XO Wave 0.19.0 (Beta)
December 13, 2006
XO Audio, LLC, today announced the release of Version 0.19.0 (Beta) of XO Wave.
XO Wave is a digital audio software package for Mac OS X designed for audio
production and post-production, including CD Mastering, editing sound for film, creating podcasts and vodcasts, and more.
This version offers dozens of new features and bug-fixes, including:
- Gain Matrix Effect can be used for adding large amounts of gain, for swapping channels or inverting phase, MS decoding, stereo widening, mono compatibility checking and more. Author Bjorn Roche calls it "the Swiss Army knife of gain."
- Envelope Generator Effect is intended primarily for ducking, however its flexible design allows it to be used for a wide variety of dynamics-controlled effects, such as auto-wah.
- Support for Sassafras K2 Key-Server allows institutions such as universities more flexible licensing.
- Completely Redesigned Interface not only looks great, but it's also faster than ever.
- Many Smaller Enhancements such as improved metering, improved import/export dialogs, and improved ripple and query modes.
"This is the last scheduled release before XO Wave 1.0 is released," says XO Audio LLC founder Bjorn Roche. "Thanks to feedback from users, we have improved XO Wave a lot over the past few months, and we hope to continue working with users on our software until and after our 1.0 release."
XO Wave 0.18.0 (Beta) may be downloaded from the XO Wave website.
It may also be purchased, in which case buyers will be entitled to a free upgrade to 1.0.
