Fountains of Wayne: Traffic and Weather (Guitar)

Alfred is pleased to announce the release of the album-matching folio to Fountains of Wayne's latest hit album, Traffic and Weather.

Fountains of Wayne recently released their fourth and latest album, Traffic and Weather. The new album is a hit with critics and fans alike. Rolling Stone gives the album four stars, while fans flock to catch them on their latest tour, which takes them across the United States as well as through Japan. Their hit video "Someone to Love" is currently airing on VH1.

Bass player Adam Schlesinger is also known for writing his Oscar-winning hit song, the theme in the feature film That Thing You Do, and most recently wrote the music to the soundtrack for the film Music and Lyrics, available in print by Alfred. This songbook features all original fourteen songs found on the Traffic and Weather album, complete with authentic guitar tabs and lyrics.

3 New Rock Titles Released in Alfred's Greatest Guitar Series

Alfred introduces three new titles into its Greatest Guitar series: The Greatest '60s Rock Guitar, The Greatest '70s Rock Guitar, and The Greatest Easy Rock Guitar. Now guitarists can learn the greatest hits of both the '60s and the '70s plus their easy rock favorites with Alfred's release of three books compiling the greatest rock songs of two decades as well as a plethora of easy rock guitar tunes.

Alfred is pleased to publish three books featuring over 200 pages each filled with songs from an array of memorable eras. The Greatest '60s Rock Guitar contains 53 songs total, including such popular titles as "You Shook Me," by Led Zeppelin, "You've Lost that Lovin' Feelin'," by the Righteous Brothers, and "I Got You Babe," by Sonny and Cher.

The Greatest '70s Rock Guitar continues on with 41 more moving melodies, such as "American Woman," by The Guess Who, "Big Yellow Taxi," by Joni Mitchell, and "Wild Night," by Van Morrison. Completing the trio, The Greatest Easy Rock Guitar complements the other two with a selection of 73 different rock songs, from contemporary hits like to Avril Lavigne's "Complicated" to classic hits such as "Listen to the Music," by the Doobie Brothers, and even love songs like Journey's "Open Arms." Each book features guitar tabs as well as lyrics, for those who just can't resist singing along.
