Designed by Harald Wind and new from The Alternative Guitar and Amplifier Company, the radically shaped, US built 34-1/2 is handmade in California by Sal Gonzalez and Mal Stich. Not to be confused with the Korean manufactured Standard and Custom models, the US handmade version sports a 2-piece heelless maple neck through body construction with mahogany sides.
Other features of the 34-1/2, are an ebony fingerboard with real mother of pearl diamond inlays and logo on the fingerboard, ebony stringers and a 5-piece headplate of mahogany, ebony and maple. Hardware consists of Grover tuners, genuine bone nut, nickel frets, Kahler Pro tremolo bridge, locking strap pins, DMIP humbucker, plus volume and tone controls.
