Now the Flux audio plug-ins also support the Apple Audio Unit plug-in format. Logic and Digital Performer users can now enjoy all the Flux processors from their preferred DAW software. As for PCs, Flux's plug-ins are now Vista ready. A trial version including all Flux plig-ins is available.

Those 1.2 versions feature improved performances. The new preset manager allows to save global presets made of two different presets including the A/B morphing slider position. Note also that factory presets are now provided for every plug-ins. Epure 1.2 includes internal Input/output routings. A channel group management allowing to set many channels or individual channel setting is also available from the new setup window. From this window, up to 4 MS encoders and up to 4 MS decoders can be engaged if required. Solera 1.2 has been enriched with a phase inverter and a Dry Mix function to achieve the full control of the dynamic processing amount. Flux customers may update their current products for free.

Flux has also announced the release of Pure Limiter, which completes Flux's dynamic processor range. Pure Limiter is supposed to be the very last stage of the processing chain for mastering. It has to preserve the audio integrity despite acting like a brick wall limiter. The key point of a state of the art limiting is the release management. Flux has incorporated all its knowledge about the dynamic management to produce the cleanest, artifact free limiting processor ever designed. There is no compromise between ease of use and the access to all parameters.

Pure Limiter has three operation modes. One is manual insuring a classical approach in the parameter settings. The second mode is fully automatic and requires a minimum user action to achieve great results in most cases. The last one is the advanced mode that gives users the full control of every parameter when special cases have to be managed. Two display options are also available to facilitate the setting of the Pure Limiter. The A mode displays both waveforms of the input signal and the processed signal. The B mode display is a histogram of the waveform including the limiter action and the release value. This mode is dedicated to the advanced mode settings allowing a user to control the release variation. Pure Limiter also includes a band pass filter before the dynamic detector in order to keep only the relevant part of the signal when computing the release value. Of course a monitoring of the filtered signal is available.

The soft knee control can be linked to the threshold to produce a smoother limiting. At last, the look ahead parameter when engaged, compensates the detector latency for the release value and anticipates the smoothness of the limiting action. This can sound like a purist detail. It is. This detail makes a great difference regarding the naturalness of the processed audio.

As usual for Flux plug-ins, 8 audio channels are supported up to 384 KHz. The processing is 64 bits float, and the A / B morphing section authorizes fast and precise operations. The Pure Limiter also features the new preset management related to all 1.2 versions of the Flux products.

The Pure Series are now sold individually: Pure Compressor, Pure Expander, Pure DCompressor, Pure DExpander and Pure Limiter can now be purchased separately for €100 each.
