Las Vegas Pro Audio Exclusive U.S. Source For Sonodore Mics
September 7, 2007
TransAudio has been appointed the exclusive U.S. distributor for Sonodore, a line of hand made ultra-high quality small diaphragm omni microphones and electronics made by Holland's Rens Heijnis Audio Electronics. Sonodore's products are designed to lift the bar in small diaphragm recording microphones, suitable for the most demanding engineers and recordings. Sonodore seeks musicality without sacrificing extraordinary dynamic range, low noise and accuracy.
Sonodore products will be launched initially in the US through Las Vegas Pro Audio, TransAudio Group's direct sales division. The focus will be on the Sonodore RCM-402 omni microphone and the Sonodore PS402 two-channel 60-volt outboard power supply. Sonodore also offers user interchangeable acoustic grids to customize the microphone response for the application. A "flat" acoustic grid is supplied with the mic. A 17kHz acoustic grid (PG78) and 20kHz acoustic grid (PG88) are available as optional accessories. This enables one microphone to fulfill multiple recording situations.
Recording producer/engineer Bert van der Wolf of Northstar Recordings, Holland, has been instrumental in the development of these high quality-recording tools from their conception in the early 90s, and has been using them in his own recordings for many years.
LasVegasProAudio.com, a division of TransAudio Group, is the exclusive U.S. source for Sonodore Microphones.
