Phonic Firefly 808 Shipping This Month

Phonic has announced it will begin shipping Firefly 808 this month.

The Phonic Firefly 808 took the very idea of digital recording to an entirely new level. Each of the unit's eight analog inputs can be sent simultaneously to your computer for recording, as can the multitude of digital inputs—from S/PDIF and AES to ADAT and MIDI (all of which is accomplished in glorious 24-bit resolution). Even word clock in and out is thrown in to keep your gear in sync. But here's the kicker: every channel you send to the computer can also be individually returned for further multi-track recording, monitoring, and so forth.

Furthermore, Phonic is including its own digital mixing software along with the Firefly 808. Control your channel's audio levels and panning, activate and deactivate digital inputs and select the sampling rate of your signals with just a few clicks of the mouse. But just in case this isn't enough, Phonic have also thrown in Steinberg's Cubase LE4 software for good measure as per usual.
