Quantegy Announces Discontinuation Of Various Magnetic Tape Products

Quantegy Recording Solutions has officially announced the discontinuation of various magnetic tape product lines. Quantegy has been manufacturing magnetic tape for the professional video, audio, and instrumentation markets for over 60 years. During this time they have played an important role in the dramatic and exciting growth of the industry.
Today, the same technological forces that brought the industry magnetic tape have in turn brought new technologies. As a result, there has been a decrease in demand for magnetic tape media. It is for this reason that Quantegy is now discontinuing certain magnetic tape products. A complete listing of discontinued products is available at www.quantegy.com.
In the future Quantegy will center its focus on research and development of new technology to better serve its primary markets. In recent years, Quantegy has achieved success with the FHD and Black Diamond family of hard drive storage solutions and plans to continue developing improved technology in these and other areas while honoring the Quantegy tradition of superior quality and customer service.
The discontinuation process of these products will begin immediately. Quantegy encourages customers to evaluate current and future need for magnetic tape products and place orders for those products by February 28, 2007. Production will continue and all order fulfillments will be completed by April 2007.
