Realsamples Introduces "The Hollow Body Guitar Collection Vols. 1 & 2" And "Classic Bass Collection" Sound Libraries

Realsamples has released three new sample libraries, the "Hollow Body Guitar Collection Vol.1 & 2" and the "Classic Bass Collection".

Hollow Body Guitar Collection Vol.1 & 2:

How would you describe the distinctive sound of a Gretsch™ hollow body guitar? Just think of some classic surf guitar sounds as well as Duane Eddy or Chris Isaak recordings. Crystal clear yet full with lots of twang and vibe.

Such a vibey guitar sound is missing in today's samplers - until now. Realsamples' "Hollow Body Guitar Collection" Volume 1 and 2 delivers the musical goods for your personal western ride:

The Realsamples team sampled a Gretsch™ Nashville® electric guitar in its classic inbetween-pickup-sound (Volume 1) and its brighter, clearer bridge pickup (Volume 2), using its vibrato extensively.

Furthermore, a Fender™ tube reverb unit was used for that old school vibe through a Carr™ Rambler® tube amp. Recorded through a tube mic, the signal went through a Chandler™ Germanium® preamp.

Recorded in 24/96 (downsampled versions are available), Realsamples sampled single notes chromatically with 32 velocities of each note, plus lots of major and minor chords, as well as muted notes and chords. Aditionally, some samples of guitar playing noises are included for a lively performance.

In the history of bass guitars, there are only few basses that are instantly recognized both by musicans and fans. It is a great choice today if you want a different sound than those super-low basses - the Höfner™ has hollow punch in spades that cuts through the mix plus lots of vibe for great melodic playing.

To give you that real vintage sound, the Realsamples team played it with a pick and ran it through a classic Universal Audio™ tube compressor as well. Single notes were sampled chromatically with 32 different layers of each note for that 60's vibe. Ghost notes are included as well.
