Stanton DJ Introduces C.402 And C.502 Rackmount CD Players

Stanton DJ, an industry leader in the design and manufacture of professional audio products for DJs, Live Sound Reinforcement and install applications, today introduces two new professional rackmount CD players—the Stanton C.402 Single Rackmount CD Player and Stanton C.502 Dual Rackmount CD Player.

Both the C.402 and C.502 support MP3 and CD-A audio and have analog and digital outputs. The analog outputs boast improved sound quality thanks to an improved digital-to-analog converter design. This new circuit provides balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA outputs and enhances the sound of MP3 and CD music by filtering out background noise while retaining all of the detail and punch of the original music. Both units also feature rugged steel chassis and CD anti-skip technology for enhanced reliability in installed or mobile environments. Finally, both units have large, positive-feedback lighted tact switches for easy system control and large LCD screens for displaying ID3 tags and MP3 text for easy song selection and management.

The Stanton C.402 will retail for $349 while the C.502 will start at $499.

According to Jim Mazur, Director of Product Development for Stanton DJ, "Mobile DJs demand many things from their equipment. It has to be reliable and easy to use, and it has to sound great. We designed the new C.402 and C.502 to deliver a new level of sound quality and reliability beyond what is typically found in other DJ products."

To enhance usability, both products have AutoCue which automatically cues a track to the start of the music and seamless looping, allowing DJs to focus on their audience while the C.402 and C.502 deliver perfect loops. A pitch bend slider makes it possible to speed up or slow down the music while +10 Track/Folder skip search makes finding CD and MP3 songs quick and easy.
