The Village Recorder Hosting "From Home To Studio" Conference May 19-20 in Los Angeles

For the second year in a row, top audio professionals convene at the world-renowned Village Recorder to share their tips and tricks for making great home studio recordings and teaching the essentials to creating a successful career in audio engineering and producing to aspiring engineers. This 2-day interactive and educational conference—May 19-20, 2007—offers insight from industry pros who work with some of the industry's top artists today including Prince, Stevie Wonder and others. A panel discussion will be moderated by comedian/actor/studio owner, Sinbad.

The conference's brainchild is that of engineer and consultant, David Hampton. For over 25 years, Hampton has contributed to the success of many top artists. Hampton's reputation is one of providing solutions and getting the job done. In his career he's worked closely with Herbie Hancock, Marcus Miller, and Rafael Saadiq, just to name a few. Additionally, he recently completed the restoration of Paisley Park Studios for Prince. His new release book, So, You're an Audio Engineer. . .Well, Here's the Other Stuff You Need to Know, is a curriculum course book for classes at Full Sail's "Recording Arts" program.

Just like my book, this conference will present an accurate picture of some of the real information that all audio professionals need.
