Turbosound To Launch New Aspect Loudspeaker at PLASA 2007

One of the audio highlights of PLASA 2007 will be the launch of another groundbreaking Aspect® loudspeaker by Turbosound—the TA-500t wide dispersion, trapezoidal three-way touring loudspeaker with integrated flying hardware—plus the new TXP range of self-powered loudspeakers, aimed at corporate rental applications, semi-pro/professional musicians and DJs.

Also featured will be the UK debut of the NuQ series of networkable self-powered and passive portable loudspeakers, which was launched at Frankfurt ProLight+Sound in March.

Aspect has been a huge success for Turbosound, with universal acclaim from users who need a reliable system that is seamlessly arrayable and sounds superb, both indoors and outdoors, plus is quick and easy to deploy. Rather than merely conforming to the whims of industry fashion, Aspect delivers exactly what its users need.

The TA-500t is already in use in Northern, Eastern and Southern Europe and is available in two different formats—switchable bi-amped/tri-amped or self-powered/networkable—and brings the TA-500 Aspect Wide series up to a total of seven products, providing a multitude of practical solutions for both flown and ground stacked touring; downfill and infill use; as well as for fixed installations.

The TA-500t features a 1" HF driver on a Polyhorn™ device, a 10" MF driver on a Polyhorn™ and Turbo-loaded 15" LF driver. It covers the frequency range from 60Hz to 20kHz and the sharply defined 50°H x 25°V dispersion pattern focuses energy on audience areas with minimum overspill, allowing the creation of clusters with seamless arrayability.

The self-powered TA-500tDP version is fully networkable, allowing real-time control and monitoring of operating parameters with a PC and TurboDrive™ software over a BVNet network, or remotely over a VPN (virtual private network). Both versions are supplied with a detachable, stackable wheelboard to aid handling and trucking.

NuQ systems, meanwhile, are fully integrated, networkable sound reinforcement packages designed for portable professional audio applications. They are offered either as digitally self-powered units or as discrete loudspeakers used in conjunction with optimised Turbosound controllers and power amplifiers. TurboDrive™ software gives reliable real time, intuitive control of Turbosound controllers and powered loudspeakers individually or over a network.

NuQ systems make exclusive use of advanced neodymium magnets, low distortion rotatable high frequency waveguides and pre-bent plywood construction to provide the highest possible performance, flexibility, handling and reliability.
