Ludwig Drum Co. is proud to announce the introduction of new Black Magic Snare Drums designed using a classic formula, but now for a more aggressive musical age. Ludwig snare drums have long been the optimal choice for the touring and recording drummer in need of volume, tonal clarity, and optimal snare response.
As the originator of its Black Nickel-Over-Brass shell composition, Black Magic snare drums share the same shell type with the famous Ludwig Black Beauty snare drum, but with unique features like matching die-cast hoops for increased volume, and tube-style lugs for maximum shell resonance. To bring the essence of this sound to drummers of every playing style, Black Magic Snares come in 6.5"x14", 7"x13", and 5"x14" models, and are priced to fit the budget of the working musician. Retail prices start at $489.99.

Dealers are set to take delivery of the first run of these instruments, models Black Magic 5"x14" Model (#LW5514), Black Magic 6.5"x14" Model (#LW6514) and Black Magic 7"x13" Model (#LW0713), beginning in the fall of 2008.
