Radian Audio Launches New Horn-Loaded Enclosures at InfoComm 08

Radian Audio Engineering is introducing a new line of Professional and Contractor horn-loaded enclosures at InfoComm 08 that feature the company's best quality drivers, which are all manufactured in Southern California. The first products to be released are the Professional Series RPH-1594/1564 and Contractor Series RCH-1594/1564 two-way arrayable speaker systems, which combine perfectly focused, hand-laid fiberglass horns with long-throw woofers to provide exacting pattern control and unmatched durability in high SPL applications.
Radian Audio will launch the new Professional Series RPH-1594/1564 and Contractor Series RCH-1594/1564 speaker systems at InfoComm 08 in Las Vegas, NV (June 18-20; booth C5156).
On each model, the 2-inch exit compression driver is available on a 90 x 40-degree (RPH- and RCH-1594) or 60 x 40-degree (RPH- and RCH-1564) dispersion pattern horn. The 15-inch woofer features a 4-inch voice coil and cast basket with venturi venting.
Frequency response is 55 Hz - 20 kHz with a power handling of 1200 W program or 2400 W peak and a sensitivity of 98 dB SPL. The passive systems may alternatively be bi-amped with recommended crossover points at 2 kHz (LP) and 1.23 kHz (HP).
The enclosures, constructed from 13-ply Baltric Birch plywood, are designed to allow multiple units to be seamlessly arrayed with minimal comb filtering. A total of 16 3/8-inch fly points are fitted as standard with the option for an integral pole cup. The cabinet measures 29.5" x 18" x 16.5" (749.3 x 457.2 x 419.1 mm) and weighs 78 lb (35.5 kg).
The Professional Series RPH-1594/1564 enclosures, intended for touring, nightclub and restaurant applications, are shipped with a Duradian all-weather finish. The Contractor Series RCH-1594/1564 speaker systems may be ordered in a black or white Polane finish and are designed for use in houses of worship, schools, nightclubs and restaurants.
